East Midland Book Awards Shortlisted Writers
The East Midlands Book Award presents the prize of £1000 to a writer of Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, or Poetry and welcomes work from all genres. As well as rewarding exceptional work, the award promotes writers living in the East Midlands and raises the profile of the writers, publishers and the thriving literary scene in the region.
In its inaugural year the award attracted over forty nominations from local and national publishers alike. The trustees and judges of the award were delighted at the wide range of different genres and voices of writers living in the East Midlands, with poetry collections, fiction, graphic novels and children’s fiction submitted for consideration.
