This course is suitable for beginners and more experienced writers alike.
Weekly workshops will consist of practical writing exercises and feedback sessions. Taught by an experienced teacher and writer in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, the course will help to develop some of the essential skills required to become a successful writer of prose, poetry or drama.
Week by week, topics will include: finding ideas from different sources, structuring short stories, writing poetry, writing good dialogue, creating memorable and realistic characters, using setting and description, writing from life and structuring plots.
Bring a pen, paper and your imagination! Places are limited so early booking is advised.
