Old Rectory, Quinton, Northants, NN72ED
Garden4Good Midsummer Poetry Festival takes place in the magical setting of the gardens of Old Rectory Quinton from 18-21 June 2020.
With opportunities to connect with poetry through performance, writing, craft, meditation, yoga, music and more over the four days of eclectic festival events, it promises to be a festival like no other.
The highlight of the festival is undoubtedly our Gala Evening on 20 June, when we’ll be joined by the recently retired poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy and guests. Unlimited fizz and dramatic canapés will add to the celebratory air in the festival marquee.
We have a fabulous event aimed at young poets inspired by “The Lost Words” nature poetry and incorporating a trip along our new Faerie Trail.
We’re also inviting people to dust off their old favourites and perform a poem (self penned or otherwise) at our “Quinton’s Favourite Poem” evening.
All events will be catered by talented local chef Reece Brookes and refreshments are included in ticket prices. A cash bar will also operate at most events.
All profits from the festival are to be donated to charities including BookTrust, Beyond The Streets and Mind.
A full schedule of events (with ticket links) can be found on our website www.garden4good.co.uk/poetry
