Arts Council England representative Pete Stones is available to discuss literature project ideas or personal development opportunities for writers. It is requested that anyone seeking advice on Arts Council funding familiarises themselves with the guidance before attending a session. The sessions are run on a 1 to 1 basis.
Pete Stones is Arts Council England’s Literature Relationship Manager for the Midlands. After graduating from Lancaster University with a Masters in Shakespeare he worked on various community engaged literature projects. In 2013 he joined Arts Council England’s North office working across various artforms and funding programmes, including Grants for the Arts, Strategic Touring, Capital, and the National Portfolio. In 2018 he joined Arts Council England’s Midlands team as a specialist for Literature. In his spare time he is an avid reader and writer of poetry.
Free, booking essential. These sessions are open to all adult writers. The Derbyshire Noir Book Festival 2019 will also be running on this day but purchasing a ticket for Derbyshire Noir is not a requirement to attend an opportunities for writers session.
