Stamford Court Conference Centre, University of Leicester, Oadby
Back for its seventh year, The Self-Publishing Conference is the UK’s only dedicated self-publishing event. The prospect of publishing a book can be daunting for many authors. Should they choose a paperback or an ebook? What is the key to a captivating cover? And just how can you get your book stocked on those elusive bookshop shelves?
The 2019 Conference sees a brand new timetable with the introduction of a ‘Mainstream vs Self-Publishing’ Author Panel. Featuring Sunday Times bestselling author, Jane Corry, award-winning crime novelist, Stephen Booth and prolific writer, Angelena Boden, the panel looks at different routes to publishing and the pros and cons of each.
Other speakers at the event include keynote Orna Ross, award-winning author, Founder-Director of the Alliance of Independent Authors and “one of the 100 most influential people in publishing” (The Bookseller).
The informal event aims to educate, inform and inspire authors who are publishing their own work, or who are considering that as a route to market. The day attracts a wide variety of authors, from fiction to children’s, non-fiction to business, and the day is structured so that delegates can choose those sessions through the day that are of the most relevance to their own requirements.
Please note tickets must be purchased in advance as they will not be available to buy on the door.
