WORD! – one of the longest running poetry nights in the UK – returns to Beeston Library with this International Women’s Day Special, featuring acclaimed poet, musician and performance artist Zena Edwards, compere Lydia Towsey and guest poets.

Zena Edwards is widely recognised as one of the most striking voices in performance poetry to come out of London and has toured extensively across the UK, US, Africa and Europe, and performed with everyone from The Last Poets to Roger McGough. Known as a powerful voice on climate change and equality, her one-woman shows Security (2009) and Travelling Light (2011) toured national and internationally to rave reviews and critical acclaim.
