Work in Progress: The art of editing, synopsis and problem solving.
A novel writing workshop for adults, part of the writing ambitions workshop programme presented by Derbyshire Arts Service.
This course will consider how to edit your work, produce a synopsis and suggest ways to overcome common pitfalls. Suitable for those struggling to complete their novels or those keen to take their first draft to the next level. Designed to be both encouraging and practical you will need to bring your work in progress with you on the day.
Mike Gayle is the author of fourteen novels including the Sunday Times Bestselling My Legendary Girlfriend, Mr Commitment and Turning Thirty. Previously a journalist and agony uncle, Mike’s work has appeared in a variety of publications including The Sunday Times, The Guardian and Cosmopolitan. He has also been a judge on a number of literary prizes including the Costa, Betty Trask and WH Smith Awards. His latest novel is The Man I Think I Know.
