The Writing East Midlands Writers’ Survey.
Tell us what it means to be a writer in the region and be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win £50 National Book Token or a free ticket to The Writers Conference (worth £60) plus a signed first edition of Margaret Atwood’s The Heart Goes Last.
Our annual survey helps us to understand writing in the East Midlands and what writers need for literary creativity to thrive. We pay close attention to it. For instance, we learned from our survey that you wanted to get a better understanding of the publishing world and have access to industry professionals, and so The Writers’ Conference (now in its 4th year) was born. You told us you wanted to learn your craft from professional novelists, short story writers and poets, and we expanded our Writing School East Midlands courses to cover Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. These are only a couple of examples of the way the survey, and you, help shape what we do. By mapping the incredible depth and breadth of talent across our region, we can make a strong case for more support to individuals and projects. Your answers are an invaluable contribution to the projects we work with and and deliver.
Click here to fill in the survey (it should take about 10-15 mins over a nice cup of coffee): www.surveymonkey.co.uk
All answers are confidential and we never share any personal data with anyone else.
Complete the survey by Thursday 6th Oct to be automatically entered in to a prize draw for a £50 National Book Token or a free ticket to our flagship event, The Writers Conference (worth £60), and a signed copy of The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood.
