Write Here Derbyshire Libraries

This residency consists of three residencies in three different libraries: Chesterfield, South Normanton and Buxton. WEM is funding the Chesterfield and South Normanton residencies.

River Wolton will work with young writers groups and mentoring will be a strong aspect of this residency. There will also be a linked writing competition between the writing groups and libraries. There is a very strong focus on developing wellbeing and general confidence for the participants.

The residencies developed from an interest in young writers from the Derbyshire Arts and Reader Development team and a desire to offer the young writers a more formal structure.
