Leicestershire Landscapes

Mark Goodwin will explore the Leicestershire landscape, including towns and parks and work with local artists and writers to build a body of work. This will involve work in Loughborough library as well as Loughborough university, who are all partners on the project. Outcomes will include performances and mentoring of local writers including students and library and university staff.

Mark Goodwin

Mark Goodwin writes and speaks in various ways. His poetry ranges from immediately emotionally accessible through to linguistically innovative and even experimental. His work can be bizarre and mischievous or serious and gentle. He has a growing reputation as a landscape poet. In 2010 he began making digitally produced audio poems. He is an experienced reader and performer of his work.
Mark works as a community poet and is highly experienced at encouraging others to speak and write creatively.
Mark is a rockclimber, treeclimber, hillwalker, mountaineer, stroller and an ‘experiencer of place’. A lot of his work reflects this.
