Writing East Midlands is the writer development agency for the East Midlands region. We support and advocate for writing in the East Midlands, create opportunities for established writers, and nurture emerging writers.
Writing East Midlands is looking for a Project Administrator to support our project activity and to assist in the general running of the organisation. We are looking for a flexible, proactive individual who is keen to develop their interest in working in arts and literature. This is an important part-time (20 hours per week) role in a small cultural business. We expect there to be opportunities for advancement as the organisation grows.

Main duties and responsibilities:
The Project Administrator will:
• Provide administrative support to the Project Manager as required.
• Support the Project Manager and Chief Executive (including diary, meeting and travel arrangements etc) as directed.
• Coordinate the practical and domestic arrangements for events, meetings, conferences etc and to occasionally minute meetings.
• Assist in the smooth running of the Writing East Midlands office. This will include managing IT, stationery, domestic supplies and handling the post.
• Provide administrative support to writer development programmes (Writers in Residence, critical reads, mentoring, East Midlands Book Award) and events supported by the organisation.
• Assist with the maintenance of contact and communications lists.
• Assist with collating data for evaluative purposes.
• Assist in the maintenance of the organisation’s websites and social media.
• Undertake other duties as agreed with the Chief Executive.
