National Writing Day 2017 -Derby City Football Club

We’re supporting Derby City School Sport Partnership and Derby County
Community Trust to run a series of workshops on writing, reading and football journalism, with guest speaker, the brilliant Andy Cope.

The day includes:

* Author Presentation, Andy Cope (Spy Dog)
* Reading: Premier League Reading Stars session
* Writing: Literacy through Sport session, delivered by Pobble
* Sports Journalism session delivered by DCFC

Pride Park will be the host venue, where children will work with a writer and the Derby City Football Club Communications team to produce copy for the Matchday programme for the weekend.

Each school can bring up to 8 pupils. The event is free of charge. Children need to bring a packed lunch.
