As part of Leicester Writes’ Festival of New Writing – this summer’s go-to event for writers – Writing School East Midlands presents Story Games a two-hour workshop with Polly Tuckett that explores where the stories that we write come from and how we start to build ideas, worlds, characters and voices that are perfect for the short form. Polly will use game strategies and play to tease out the stories we want to write, and help us bring them to life. Suitable for adults at any level.
POLLY TUCKETT is a published writer and tutor of creative writing with over fifteen years teaching experience. She curated Short Fuse, a short fiction spoken word showcase for several years in Brighton and Leicester and is a core tutor for Writing School East Midlands.
Story Games is just one of the highlights of a day of story-related activity that includes a masterclass with Jacob Ross and a reading with Writing East Midlands mentoring scheme alumnus, Jamie Mollart, that launches the first day of this exciting new festival.
