C. J. Allen’s poetry has appeared in a wide range of magazines & anthologies in the UK, USA, Ireland & elsewhere – everything from Poetry Review to Modern Painters & several points in-between – & has been broadcast on BBC Radios 3 & 4, & (to his slight embarrassment) various local radio stations. His work has been awarded prizes in a number of competitions, including the Arvon, Ilkely, Yorkshire, Winchester, Ver Poets, Nottingham Open & Kent & Sussex, amongst many others.

He has been involved in a number of collaborative projects with other artists, his poetry appearing alongside paintings by Eileen Cooper & as part of an exhibition of contemporary landscape photographs. He has also worked with the Retina Dance Company on a poetry-inspired dance piece, & has recently completed a commission for a poetry & sculpture project for Peak Arts.
