Writer Biography

Dan Carver is the author of Ruin Nation, the humorous and extremely rude post-apocalyptic satire.

He is also an artist, illustrator and scenic painter who has worked in France, Germany, Sweden, Finland and Finnish Lapland.

Large chunks of Ruin Nation were written abroad, with initial ideas roughed out in a toilet cubicle in Le Grande Aquarium, Saint Marlo, (where Carver was assisting with the refurbishment of the tropical fish area) and further sections jotted in a notepad in a bar on the Friedrichstrasse, Berlin. This notepad was subsequently lost (leading some to suggest that there is a unofficial German language version of the book out there) but the concept couldn’t be killed and Carver continued upon returning to England.

Carver works under many different aliases, most prolifically T. Edward Devilish, and contributes to various publications and websites. He is not to be confused with & Daniel& Carver, Imperial Wizard and Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, who is an idiot.
