Writer Biography

Emily is primarily a writer of young adult fiction and has recently completed a Master’s degree in Creative Writing. She mainly writes novels, short stories, and plays, but has been known to take a stab at a poem or two. Prior to her degree, she worked for two years as a secondary school English teacher, having qualified with a PGDE. She is based around the Loughborough area.

In the coming year, Emily will be establishing her own creative business, Cuthbert & Young, an indie press with a focus on publishing and workshopping writing for young adults and children. She is excited to be working with some amazing local indie presses to make this enterprise a success.
