Writer Biography

George Gunby is Derbyshire born and bred with sixty years of life experience behind him.
Now, with a lifetime of business experience behind him, George is using his time to write books and scripts as well as promote events.

Initially his work revolved around The Beatles. He wrote and published price guides as well as editing a magazine entitled & Collecting The Beatles& .
In 2002 his book & Hello Goodbye – The Story of Mr. Fixit& took him to Beatle Events in New York, Boston and Chicago as well as Belgium, Ireland and France.
Since then George has published a novel and had a comedy play performed at the New Playwrights Festival in Chesterfield. That play has been expanded and is to be performed later in 2012 as OLD AGE ISN’T FOR SISSIES.

Current projects include a series of monologues for a one woman show and a series of comedy sketches featuring Florrie and Fanny.

George is also the organiser / coordinator of THE BELPER SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL that takes place over the 2 / 3 / 4 June 2012.

His company, Yesterday Once More, also publishes & nostalgia based& items including spoken word.
