Writer Biography

I have been writing since I was twelve years old; a little while ago now. Since 2001 I have had a number of books published about cinema and I have written for a range of periodicals: The Guardian, Empire, Resurgence, Imagine animation magazine and other outlets.

I also have a background in community filmmaking and also lecturing in Film at degree level.

I now work as a writer and producer under the moniker ClarkeCreative, currently engaged on a number of educational film projects and related content.

I am very keen to develop opportunities working as a writer on regional community filmmaking projects and I am currently finishing work on a couple of book projects.

My most recent book is Movie Movements: Films That Changed The World of Cinema and my most recent film project is the short film ‘Chasing Cotards’ for which I wrote the screenstory.

As time currently allows I am also working on a novel for young readers and a feature length screenplay.
