Writer Biography

I write mainly poetry, and some short fiction. My first full-length poetry collection, ‘Catch’, was published by Redbeck Press in 2007. I was awarded Arts Council funding in 2008/09 to complete a new sequence, ‘The Geometry of Distance’.

I offer readings, imaginative and fun poetry workshops with adults and children (key stages 1 – 3), creative consultation services and community literature projects. Alongside my writing, I work as a freelance arts development consultant, so I have a unique blend of community consultation, evaluation, strategic development and project management expertise to complement my creative skills.

I belong to the ‘Inky Fish’ group of poets, who received Arts Council funding for a group reading tour in 2006/07.
