Writer Biography

A two-time winner of the British Fantasy Award, Mark Chadbourn is the author of fourteen novels and one non-fiction book. A former national newspaper journalist, he is now a screenwriter for BBC television drama, developing new series and a core writer on ‘Doctors’. His other jobs have included running an independent record company, managing rock bands, working on a production line, and as an engineer’s ‘mate’.

    I have lectured at the Tate Gallery in London as well as several major conventions and events in the UK. As a member of the Write Fantastic, a group which promotes fiction around the UK, I have also appeared on many panels.

    I have taught creative writing to adults at Leicester University, and at workshops around the East Midlands.
