Writer Biography

I am a recent graduate in English and Classical Literature, and I have a passion for reading and writing. I currently write for two online magazines; the successful Cuckoo Review, which is a culture-based magazine and community for young writers in England, and LIP, an Australian feminist magazine. I also write two blogs; one focused on my interest in writing and literature, and the other based around my traveling experiences, both of which provide me with a platform to showcase my passions.

I have recently spent time working as a ‘Clerical Examination Marker’ for Cambridge Assessments, which has taught me to maintain an extremely high level of accuracy in all my work, and also demanded superior editing skills, attention to detail and hard work. Whilst working on the committee for the ‘Undergraduate Research Experience’ at the University of Leeds, I learnt to be confident in pursuing my own goals, to multitask through managing different responsibilities, and to take initiative wherever I could. As a team, I and the other members of the committee relied on each other every day to ensure that the event was a success and that everything was being managed efficiently.
