Writer Biography

Tricia Durdey trained as a dancer and choreographer in London and Amsterdam in the late 1970s and worked for many years as choreographer and dancer. Ten years ago she made the decision to concentrate on writing and has since had short fiction published by Cinnamon Press, Chester University Press, Myslexia, and Matter (Sheffield Hallam University).
In 2013 she graduated from Sheffield Hallam with an MA Distinction for her novel Lord Nelson’s Eye, and won the Blackfriars Open Submission in May 2015. She began writing The Green Table after attending an Arvon Foundation course led by Celia Rees and Jan Mark. Tracing the life of a dancer during the Nazi Occupation of the Netherlands, it began as a novel for young adults, before finally being reworked as adult fiction. The Green Table is published by Cinnamon Press in September 2015.
She lives in Derbyshire with her husband, son and a retired racing greyhound and earns a living by teaching Pilates and ballet.
