I’m a short story and script writer currently living in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
My work includes:
‘Greenhill Downs’: A short time travel story, published in the 2003 Bluechrome Anthology.
‘The Blue Bench’, about the bond between a young cyclist and an old man, published in First Edition magazine in 2009.
‘Maria’: A gritty short film about a teenage prostitute who tries to leave her sordid life behind and resume her education. This was screened at the 2011 Encounters International Film Festival in Bristol. (See the link for the full film.)
‘The Christmas Eve Snowfall’, a short film narrated by Joss Ackland that follows two lonely people and the magical snowflakes that bring them together. This, along with ‘Winter’s End’, another festive short set at a village dance at the end of World War II, was broadcast by ITV West on Christmas Day 2008.
‘We May Be Shadows’: Currently in post production. A dark drama about a terminally ill man confronted by demons who torture him with his secret past and the drastic steps he takes to escape them.
‘In The Lantern’: A spooky short film set in a derelict theatre haunted by the ghost of a mind reader who committed suicide on stage during the theatre’s heyday.
‘A Christmas Carol’: I adapted the book for a stage musical version. It ran at the Mission Theatre in Bath at Christmas 2007.
