EMBA 2013 Nominations

The trustees for the East Midlands Book Award 2013 are pleased to announce the nominations for the prize, £1000 given to an East Midlands writer of Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, or Poetry.

Guest judge for EMBA 2013 and celebrated crime writer, John Harvey, said:

“I was delighted, in 2011, to hear of the inauguration of the East Midlands Book Award, and mightily chuffed, just recently, to be asked to act as one of the judges afforded the task of making the Award in 2013.It always seemed to me, during those years I lived in the East Midlands, that my work, both as a writer and small press editor and publisher, was, to a considerable extent, nurtured and supported not just by other writers and publishers from the region, but also by journalists – both print and radio – booksellers, and organisations such – as it was then called – East Midlands Arts.”
