Wellingborough Young Writers

During the Autumn term 2019, we are visiting schools in the Wellingborough area to meet and write with some of the town’s young writers. We hope they will want to come along to the library in the new year to develop their writing ambitions further.

About the Lead Writer

Lucy Anderson studied Creative Writing at The University of Leicester and has worked collaboratively with artists and for community projects. She has taught creative writing in library and museum settings and, for Hospital and Outreach Education, for students with health challenges.

Lucy has been long-listed for the Bridport Prize in 2007, published in Brittle Star and The Interpreter’s House in 2014, and Under the Radar, from Nine Arches, in 2015. Lucy was awarded a mentorship with Cinnamon Press in 2016. Her pamphlet LEGACY is published with Cinnamon Press 2018
